My name is Fernando Zamora, and I am a composer and sound designer based in San Jose, California.
Currently, I am studying at the University of California, Santa Cruz, majoring in Art & Design: Games and Playable Media, and minoring in Electronic Music. Throughout my time in school I have had the opportunity to be Lead Sound Designer for several projects, including UCSC’s student-led game design club, the Game Design and Arts Collaboration.
Apart from music, however, my interests span a broad range of topics, including films, anime, virtual reality games, alternate reality games—and of course video games. I could talk about any one of these topics for days, and I’m always looking for new recommendations!
Whenever I’m not writing music, I enjoy exploring San Jose’s gorgeous hillsides (usually either by hiking or on my bicycle) or visiting California’s beach towns with my family. These places also happen to provide wonderful opportunities for recording foley and ambience as well!
If you are searching for music or sounds for your next project, please feel free to explore my work in the Portfolio tab, or reach out to me with any questions in the Contact form.
